Frequently Asked Questions
Will my plates be printed in all capital letters?
Yes! All plates are printed using capital letters regardless of how you enter your registration in the builder. If your confirmation email shows lower case, don't worry — this is just a display quirk and your plates will be produced correctly.
What text styles are available and are they all road legal?
We offer Standard print, 3D Gel, 4D 3mm, and 4D 5mm styles. All conform to British Standard BSAU145e and are fully road legal for use on UK public roads.
How should I space my registration?
Enter your registration exactly as it appears on your V5C logbook, tax disc, or DVLA document. For example: "AB21 AAA" is correct — "AB 21AAA" or "AB21AAA" are not. Mis-spacing is illegal under Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001.
Why does my new plate look slightly green?
We apply a protective film over the front of all plates to protect them in transit — this can give the plate a slightly darker or greenish tint. Simply peel off the removable film before fitting. A little heat from a hairdryer will help you find an edge if needed.
Why is there small text at the bottom of my plate?
This isn't advertising — it's a legal requirement. UK law requires the manufacturer's name and postcode to appear on every number plate.
What are your dispatch and delivery times?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of placing your order. Orders placed before 2PM on a weekday are dispatched the same day, and 95% arrive the very next day. Occasionally, busy periods or complex orders may cause a short delay.
Can I get a green EV flash on my plate?
Yes! If you drive an electric or zero-emission vehicle, you can add a green flash to the left side of your plate. Select this option in the builder. All modern plates remain white on the front and yellow on the rear.
Are borders road legal on UK number plates?
Yes — borders are road legal and can be added via the plate builder. Choose from our range of border styles to personalise your plates.
Do you pre-drill holes in the plates?
No. We don't pre-drill holes as many customers prefer to use the included sticky pads for a cleaner finish, and hole placement varies greatly between vehicles. Your plates come with a fixing kit to suit both methods.
Can I cancel my order?
Your right to cancel starts the moment you place your order and lasts until 14 days from the day you receive your goods. As number plates are custom-made to your specification, the plates themselves are non-refundable once manufactured, but original postage costs are reimbursable where applicable.
Do you offer trade discounts for bulk orders?
Yes! Please get in touch via our Contact section and we can provide you with a custom quote for trade and bulk orders.
